Preliminary Task Evaluation
For the preliminary task we as a class were asked to
individually create a front cover and contents of our own school magazine. We
had to go off and do our own research in order to collect ideas and knowledge
to include in my own design. I linked the colour scheme to Whitley Bay itself
for e.g. the colour of the building and the uniform etc. I produced the
magazine with a build-up of my own photos which I took myself and information
put in myself. I created both my front page and contents page using ‘Adobe InDesign’.
I also used ‘Adobe Photoshop’ to alter colours on the image which is located on
my front cover. I feel this went well and was beneficial to my magazine as it
allowed the colours to stand out more which makes it more appealing to the
reader. This will benefit me when coming to create other magazines and pieces
of work similar in the future.
